Urban Waves focuses on urban music, such as Hip Hop, Abstract, Glitch, Future Funk, Dubstep, Grime, IDM, Electronica, Ambient, Dub, Soulful music and all the wonky mutants.

I’ve created this blog first to help independent artists share their music and secondly to help the internet community to easily discover fresh, dope and free music.
It’s for the same reasons that last year I started this project with a radio(podcast), which was my first step into sharing the music I love.

And Urban Waves evolves steadily, we’ve thrown parties, organized tours for a few heads, started this nice blog allowing everyone to discover great artists and then launched our own label starting March 2011

When reblogging a post from this blog try to edit your reblog. The bandcamp players for instance are adapted to the website design and won’t appear properly on other blogs but you can edit your reblog and paste a new player instead very easily go and fetch your own embed player on the bandcamp page. Same goes for soundcloud mini players, etc.
